One day Shankar finds a young girl near a river bank, brings her home and names her Jyoti. Dwarkaprasad decides to pitch in and agrees to pay for her education along with Vijay and Asha. Years pass by, Vijay and Jyoti have grown up, are in love with each other, and would like to get married.
